Brandi Glanville: I Wouldn't Be here If It Wasn't for My Kids

Facing a health crisis that brought on suicidal thoughts, the reality TV firecracker tells Us how family and a new hope for recovery have turned the tide

Glanville says sons Jake and Mason (in April) have been frustrated by all the appointments.
Years after her initial exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Brandi Glanville was back at the top of her reality TV game: She had won over audiences again on The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club and The Traitors and booked Girls Trip season 4. But on that fateful early 2023 shoot in Morocco, she was accused of sexual misconduct by costar Caroline Manzo, who filed a lawsuit against Bravo and its production companies. (Through her legal team, Glanville denied the “absurd” charges.) Back in the States, Glanville slipped into a depression — only to discover she had contracted a parasite on location.
Thus began a two-year nightmare of scary, costly health issues and diagnosis fails. “I’ve never felt suicidal before,” Glanville, 52, tells Us. But recently, “I didn’t want to be here. If it wasn’t for my kids [she shares Mason, 22, and Jake, 18, with ex-husband Eddie Cibrian], I don’t know that I would be here.”
Glanville has seen 21 doctors, paying out of pocket when providers within her insurance had no answers. “They didn’t believe me,” she says. “My insurance was like, ‘Nothing’s wrong with you. It’s inflammation and old filler.’”
