Nicole 'feels betrayed' after split

As Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban begin their divorce, and rumours emerge of another woman, sources say Nicole has been "blindsided" by the break-up

They appeared to be one of Hollywood's strongest couples, so when the news broke that Nicole Kidman had filed for divorce after 19 years of marriage, fans were left reeling.

But the truth could be far more complicated than anyone realised, as rumours have since emerged that Keith Urban – Nicole’s country-singer husband – is already seeing someone new and has been living apart from the Oscar-winning star for several months.

According to sources, the actress was “blindsided” by Keith's desire to separate, so much so that she was spotted still happily wearing her wedding ring just days before filing for divorce.

“Nicole's hurt and feels betrayed. It's devastating to her. She's shocked,” a source told American magazine People.

The Babygirl star filed for divorce on 30 September, citing “irreconcilable differences” and ongoing “marital difficulties”, according to court documents.

Although the couple had been living separate lives in recent months, it wasn't unusual for the pair to spend time apart. Nicole has been busy filming the long-awaited Practical Magic sequel, while Keith, 57, was on a world tour.

The singer even cut short his tour this summer to join Nicole, 58, on her birthday in June but, according to sources, Keith was already “done”.

After news of the divorce broke, a source claimed that Nicole's sister, Antonia, and the rest of the Kidman family had raced to the actress's side to support her through a separation she “didn't want”.
