THE senseless slaughter of pregnant Laci Peterson and her unborn son, Conner, isn't the first murder linked to the past of convicted wife-slayer Scott Peterson — and now sources reveal a decades-old killing they say dogs the California con to this day!

Peterson's maternal grandfather was savagely bludgeoned to death as the family was preparing to celebrate Christmas — 57 years before Laci's mysterious disappearance on Dec. 24, 2002.
