Glory – and love – awaited Spencer Matthews as he completed a record breaking 30 marathons in 30 days across a scorching desert, ultimately running right into the arms of his wife, Vogue Williams, and their children.

“Having them at the finish line was incredible,” Spencer tells Hello! as he relaxes on the shores of the Dead Sea after the challenge. “I think about Vogue all the time when I run, and the kids are always in the forefront of my mind. And to have them at the end for a big cuddle and a kiss was all I needed.”

The British TV personality and entrepreneur – brother-in-law of Princess Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton – has earned a Guinness World Record for the most consecutive marathons run on sand after covering a total of 1,266 kilometres across Jordan’s Wadi Rum desert (where daytime temperatures can reach 44° C) while raising thousands of dollars for charity.

Meanwhile, his intense training regimen and the 28 pounds he lost en route have transformed his appearance, resulting in a sculpted, honed physique.
