Demonstrating once again why they picked each other, William and Kate look happier than ever ahead of their 'forever home' move
Sharing lots of laughs on a day out in Northern Ireland, the Prince and Princess of Wales put their loving partnership fully on display.
From baking traditional potato cakes and collecting apples to riding in a fire truck and attempting a floodwater rescue drill, the royal couple looked more relaxed and happy than ever.
And as they prepare to move into their new “forever home” on the Windsor estate within days, they are very much focused on the future, having overcome an extraordinarily challenging 18 months.
A source close to the Waleses tells Hello!: “This is very much the start of a new chapter after some difficult years at Adelaide Cottage, and they're looking forward to making happy memories in their new home.”
William and Kate will settle into Forest Lodge during the half-term school holidays, following extensive renovation work on the property, guided by the princess.
The couple moved to Windsor with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in the summer of 2022, with the aim of giving their children a more relaxed lifestyle and “more green space,” according to Kate. But soon afterward, their lives – and roles – changed with the death of Queen Elizabeth II.ADAPTING TO CHANGE
Reflecting on the loss of his grandparents in a recent appearance on The Reluctant Traveler, with Canadian host Eugene Levy, Prince William said, “It’s been quite a bit of change, so you do think about them not being here anymore, and particularly being in Windsor – for me, Windsor is her.”
