Bride-to-be Kelly Osbourne opens up about motherhood, confidence and stepping out of dad Ozzy's shadow

At 40, Kelly Osbourne is feeling fabulous and happier than ever. And why not? The British-born TV personality just said yes to the love of her life!

Kelly shared the joyful news on Instagram earlier this month, casually writing, “Oh and this happened yesterday!” alongside a video of her beau, Slipknot musician Sid Wilson, asking for her hand in marriage.

He proposed in front of friends and family – including her parents, rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, 76, and wife Sharon, 72, as well as brother Jack, 39 – backstage at Ozzy’s landmark final concert. Said the American groom-to-be, 48, before proffering a huge diamond ring to his delighted sweetheart: “Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?”

To be fair, Kelly was already in a good place when Hello! caught up with her last month in a suite at London’s exclusive Dorchester hotel. Wrapped in a white robe, her blond hair flowing at her shoulders, she was positively glowing as she got red-carpet ready for the Serpentine Summer Party, one of the U.K.’s society events of the year.

“People aren’t used to seeing this version of me,” says the glamorous star, who chose a gown by Rebecca Vallance for the occasion. “It’s almost as if they don’t like it.”
