BACK IN BLACK

Looking closer than ever, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived hand in hand for a rare joint red-carpet appearance in New York City.

The couple – perfectly coordinated in sleek black suits – were honoured with the Humanitarians of the Year award at the World Mental Health Day Gala, hosted by Project Healthy Minds. Prince Harry, 41, was hailed as a “mental health advocate, environmentalist and military combat veteran,” while Meghan, 44, was praised in her roles of “mother, wife, entrepreneur and philanthropist.”

'PIVOTAL MOMENT'

Through the Archewell Foundation's Parents' Network, the Sussexes have been raising awareness about the impact of harmful online content - a cause that hits close to home. Onstage, they spoke candidly about the fears they have for their kids growing up in the digital age.

"Archie and Lili are just six and four years old," said Meghan. "Luckily still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming. Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology's benefits while safeguarding against its dangers."

imageHarry then warned the audience that its algorithms “prey upon children,” calling children's online safety “one of the most pressing issues of our time.”
