As she helps to sell the Big Issue with her daughter, Lady Frederick Windsor - the actress Sophie Winkleman – tells us why Christmas is the most important time to lend a hand

If you were among the many Christmas shoppers near Somerset House in central London on a Sunday in December, you may have crossed paths with two rather special Big Issue vendors.

Lady Frederick Windsor, also known as the actress Sophie Winkleman, and her daughter Isabella, nine, joined vendors to sell copies of the magazine, which supports homeless people.

“Both my girls feel enraged that we live in a society where homelessness is accepted,” Sophie tells HELLO!, as we join her to take these exclusive photos. “How the hell is it OK to walk past someone sleeping in the street? No one should have to endure that pain and indignity – and the Big Issue is a family and a community for people who've fallen on seriously hard times.
