Royal families from around Europe gathered in Athens to see Prince Nikolaos of Greece and Denmark marry Chrysí Vardinogiánni after a whirlwind romance.
The intimate ceremony at one of the city's oldest Orthodox churches, at the foot of the Acropolis, was a low-key affair by royal standards, but the 50 or so guests still included Queens, Princes and Princesses from Greece, Denmark and Spain.
The couple, who only made their relationship official last month, beamed as they left the 11th-century Holy Church of Saint Nicholas Rangavas.
