Sahher Bambba’s phone has been buzzing nonstop for ever since the release of Aryan Khan’s debut show, The Ba***ds of Bollywood. The actress played the lead character, Karishma Talvar, a star kid who is about to make her debut with a newcomer. Sahher says she has been glued to her phone, checking mentions even in the middle of the night. Taking us back to her early Mumbai days in 2017, she recalls being completely new to the city, not knowing anyone or even where Aram Nagar was. She made her debut in the film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas and appeared in movies and series such as The Miranda Brothers, The Empire, and Dil Bekaraar. However, Sahher says that none of her earlier projects quite clicked, until The Ba***ds of Bollywood happened. Excerpts:

WHAT KIND OF RESPONSES ARE YOU GETTING FOR THE SHOW?

It's been so overwhelming, in the best way possible. Ever since the show dropped, I haven't left my phone for even a second. I wake up in the middle of the night and just check my phone and mentions. People love it, and I'm so grateful.

TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY IN THIS INDUSTRY...

I came to Mumbai in 2017. I was studying at Jai Hind College. I was very new and didn't know anybody in this city, let alone the industry. I wanted to audition but didn't know where or how to start. I didn't even know where Aram Nagar or the other audition places were. It took a lot of time to figure that out. I won a beauty pageant and then auditioned for a couple of things. Some materialised, but nothing came my way that gave me any recognition. And then The Ba***ds of Bollywood happened.
