India’s Union Telecom Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia chaired an important meeting on 23 August with one of his six external advisory committees, which includes key telecom sector stakeholders. Emphasising the meeting’s success, the minister highlighted an important outcome and his focus area: advancing 6G technology.

“Had a productive meeting with the Advisory Group of telecom service providers. Discussed issues pertaining to quality of services, India’s 6G vision and promoting research and development to take our sector to new heights of development,” the minister tweeted post-meeting.

In subsequent media interviews, Scindia underscored India’s potential to lead in 6G development and deployment, positioning this initiative as a cornerstone of his vision for the future of telecommunications. His commitment extends beyond 5G, aiming to set global standards in 6G technology.
