igus, a global leader in motion plastics, has announced a major advancement in polymer plain bearing technology 1 with the Yanch of PPD-free versions of its most widely used iglidur materials. Developed just in time for Hannover Messe, this innovation marks a crucial step for industries preparing for upcoming restrictions on PFAS substances, including PTFE.
The breakthrough includes PTFE-free alternatives to the popular iglidur G, iglidur H, and iglidur X series-materials known for their versatility, wear resistance, and performance in demanding environments ranging from automotive and mechanical engineering to aerospace and marine applications.
