The 8th Global Conference on Plastics in Automotive, held in Pune, concluded on a high note, offering the industry actionable insights and thought-provoking discussions.

DRIVING INNOVATION, SUSTAINABILITY, AND THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY

The Global Conference on Plastics in Automotive (GCPA) has long been a significant platform where industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders converge to discuss the evolving role of plastics in shaping the automotive sector. With each edition, GCPA sets a new standard in bringing forth transformative ideas, sparking collaboration, and promoting sustainability and innovation. The 8th edition, held on October 10th in Pune, was no exception.

With the theme "Innovate, Integrate, Accelerate: Plastics Leading Transformation," this year’s event highlighted the revolutionary impact of plastics on the future of automotive manufacturing, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, functionality, and technological integration.

The event, presented by Milacron India and co-powered by Covestro India and Yudo, kicked off with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by distinguished industry dignitaries. Over 400 delegates gathered for this day-long conference, which featured more than 31 speakers, four in-depth case studies and five panel discussions, bringing thought leaders and innovators to the forefront. The audience was treated to a rich exchange of insights and actionable strategies, positioning plastics as a catalyst for change in the automotive industry.

Following the auspicious ceremonial lamp-lighting, Bill Shukla, Managing Director of Milacron India, delivered the Welcome Address. This was followed by an opening note from Nisha Shukla, Senior Assistant Editor – B2B Division, Worldwide Media, The Times Group.

A special highlight of the event was the Hall of Fame felicitations of Forvia Faurecia and Mahindra Research Valley, Mahindra & Mahindra, recognising their exemplary contributions to automotive industry through their innovations and commitment to advancing the use of plastics.

THE DRIVER OF EFFICIENCY: UNLOCKING MACHINE SHOP PERFORMANCE WITH MOBILTM SOLUTIONS

Did you know that 43% of mechanical failures in industrial machinery are due to improper lubrication? That's not all—54% of bearing failures also stem from poor lubrication practices. Imagine how much smoother operations could run by addressing this single issue! In fact, lubrication failures contribute to a staggering roughly 6% of the GDP in repair costs, equating to over $1 trillion in losses. In today's fast-paced industrial world, where every second counts and precision is key, companies constantly seek ways to enhance productivity, extend machinery life, and cut operational costs. A critical factor, often overlooked, is lubrication—the unsung hero of industrial efficiency. With machines growing more advanced, the need for specialized lubricants that can withstand extreme conditions is greater than ever.
