I wanted a way to process sweet corn faster.
Fast and Easy Corn Cutter
I cut two slots in a 5-gallon bucket, directly across from each other, about 3 inches down from the top of the bucket. One slot is ¾x1½ inches, and the other is ¾x3 inches.
Clamp or tack-weld 5-inch extensions to a store-bought cutter to mount in the bucket. Use a ⅜-inch hair clip to hold the cutter in place. Take a ⅜-inch lag bolt about 4 inches long, cut off the bolt head, and insert it into your drill. Screw the lag into the end of your corncob and run it through the cutter. Reverse the drill to pull the lag out of the cob. Fast, simple, and you can get a lot of corn processed quickly.Duane Benfer
