With a legacy spanning over nine decades, ISGEC Heavy Engineering Ltd. stands tall as one of India's foremost engineering and EPC companies. Established in 1933, the company has evolved from a sugar manufacturing entity to a diversified engineering solutions provider catering to over 92 countries across six continents. Its state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across Haryana, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra serve key industries such as power, oil & gas, petrochemicals, steel, cement, railways, and space, among others. With a turnover of ₹6,245 crore in FY2023-24, ISGEC is listed on both NSE and BSE, and continues to deliver sustainable, efficient, and technologically advanced solutions in line with its core philosophy of 'Engineering for Excellence'.
Driving this legacy forward is Sanjay Gulati, Whole-time Director and Head – Manufacturing Units, whose journey at ISGEC began over 30 years ago as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. A seasoned professional with experience spanning manufacturing, exports, greenfield projects, HR, and joint ventures, he also helms ISGEC Hitachi Zosen Ltd. as Managing Director.
We spoke with Sanjay Gulati to discuss ISGEC 's role in India’s industrial growth, its contribution to the Viksit Bharat vision, and the company’s commitment to responsible engineering.
