Land Titling act has been one of the most crucial factors in tipping the scales during the elections of 2024 in Andhra Pradesh, India.

In India, Land is a crucial asset everyone values and it is even passed through generations as hereditary wealth. So, In addition to the actual value of the land, it also mostly holds sentimental value for many people. In most of the rural areas, their land is a part of their identity and they uphold it's ownership with pride and honour. Such is the importance of land and ownership in India.

To describe briefly, The Land Titling Act aims to streamline this process by establishing a clear system for registering and documenting land ownership. But, it has sparked several debates and controversies amongst various groups of people.
