Advanced avionics upgrades offer a dramatic increase in enhancing efficiency and flight safety in general aviation aircraft. ATUL CHANDRA reports
India’s general aviation market comprises aircraft used for non-commercial purposes, such as private flying, business travel, and recreational activities. It is estimated that a few hundred such aircraft are in operation in India, spread across business jets, turboprops and piston-engine aircraft. As per Statista, the General aviation market in India is projected to reach $268.00m in 2025, with approximately 46 new aircraft projected for delivery this year, with an average median purchase price of $5.83m. The Piston Engine Aircraft market includes single-engine and multi-engine aircraft powered by piston engines, primarily used for private flying, flight training, and recreational purposes. A significant proportion of these aircraft could also benefit from avionics upgrades, which would enhance safety potential and efficiency while minimizing pilot workload in every phase of flight.
