THE POWER OF PERMANENCE

SHWETA RATHORE

GM, HR, Ajmera Realty & Infra India

Key Played milestones: a crucial role in scaling the workforce by 48.78% in 2024 to support business expansion; implemented strategic hiring models to attract top talent for key leadership and project execution roles; HR-driven role enhancements and internal mobility programs to optimize workforce capabilities; Digital onboarding via e-induction modules, reducing timeto-productivity; integration of on-the-go learning platforms for employees to upskill; training employees in Al, automation, and digital transformation to enhance efficiency; and upskilling for sustainability, and ESG compliance

imageCritical challenge overcome: The most critical challenge was the pandemic that disrupted business continuity, forcing many organizations to adapt to an uncertain, stop-start operational environment. Intermittent lockdowns & remote work adoption led to productivity fluctuations in core operational teams. Site operations, sales, and customer service had to switch between physical & digital workflows without consistent predictability. Ensuring workforce engagement, construction workers safety and wellbeing in the period of mass exodus, mental well-being, and performance management in an uncertain business climate was critical challenge.

Work life balance: Mornings are dedicated to meditation, spiritual practices, and quality family time. The first half of the day is reserved for high-impact tasks like HR strategic and decision-making. Midday focuses on team coordination, emails, and operational matters, while evening hours allow for networking, planning, and ad-hoc problem-solving. Buffer time should be maintained to avoid meeting fatigue.
