Generators come in many sizes, but today they are a lot more efficient than they ever were

SMARTER AND SINCERE

Generators today have become a necessity. India's power generation is no match for its growing demand. But then there are types of generators that Indians have been using and continue to use. But with the government's stringent rules on emissions, much caution is being taken to stick to them by manufacturers.

Diesel generators are considered significant contributors to India's air pollution, accounting for 7-8% of air pollution in some cities, according to the National Clean Air Programme 2019. In response, India has implemented measures to combat this issue, including imposing restrictions on the use of diesel generators, enforcing strict emission standards, and advocating for technological advancements to enhance generator efficiency.

imageIndia's power consumption has been growing rapidly, reaching 1,503.65 billion units (BU) in FY23 with an expected CAGR of over 6 per cent from 2022-2035. As India's economy grows, the demand for reliable power is expected to rise significantly. With the increasing need for power in sectors like manufacturing, healthcare, and transportation, these gensets provide a dependable backup, ensuring continuous operations even during grid outages. By enhancing power reliability and improving operational efficiency, these advanced gensets support India's broader goals of achieving energy security.
