dwp's design director Adriana Graur on the materials and decisions that promote sustainability
-
At dwp (design worldwide partnership), our approach to sustainable design is centred around promoting a harmonious relationship between humans and the natural environment around them, as we recognise the profound impact this can have on both the physical and mental well-being of building occupants.
By incorporating natural elements such as plants, water features, and natural light, we are able to create dynamic spaces that promote a sense of calm and rejuvenation. This approach is in line with our commitment to creating sustainable, healthy, and functional environments that will stand the test of time.
As we look towards the future, we are excited to see biophilic design gain traction as a core element of sustainable architecture. As society becomes more aware of the numerous benefits of incorporating nature into our built environments, we anticipate a shift towards a more holistic approach to design that prioritises both human and environmental well-being. At dwp, we are dedicated to integrating biophilic design into our projects and continuing to lead the charge towards a more sustainable and harmonious future. We invite all designers and architects to join us on this journey towards creating healthier and more sustainable spaces.
