LUFTHANSA HAS ACQUIRED a 41-percent stake in ITA Airways, marking the beginning of a big transformation for Italy's flag carrier. With an initial investment of $335 million, this deal allows ITA to fully integrate into the Lufthansa Group, which is expected to occur in multiple phases, totaling $870 million.
