RedTape, one of India's most recognised lifestyle and athleisure brands, began its journey in 1996.
-
What started as a formal footwear label has evolved into a complete lifestyle powerhouse, offering an expansive range of fashion-forward products across categories. “We began as a formal wear brand, but over the years, we've transformed into a leading lifestyle and athleisure brand,” shares Shuja Mirza, CEO of RedTape. “Our evolution is driven by design, quality, and unbeatable value, with a vision to become India’s biggest brand in this space.”
What Sets RedTape Apart
While the Indian market has seen a proliferation of fashion and footwear brands, RedTape stands out through its meticulous attention to detail and consumer-centric approach. “Many brands overlook the finer elements; we obsess over them,” says Mirza. “From materials and construction to finish, our in-house design team tracks global trends and adapts them to suit the Indian consumer, offering international appeal at a great price point.”
A Complete Fashion Ecosystem
RedTape has moved far beyond footwear, expanding into apparel and accessories including backpacks, belts, wallets, hard luggage, and perfumes. The brand introduces over 50 new SKUs each month, ensuring a fresh lineup for its diverse audience. Footwear remains the strongest category, but emerging segments like denims, undergarments, and activewear are witnessing rapid growth. “We're building a complete lifestyle ecosystem,” notes Mirza. “Every product reflects our commitment to style, comfort, and innovation.”
Innovative Design & Development
RedTape’s product development process is deeply research-driven. Designers travel globally to gather insights, which are then transformed into detailed mood boards, color palettes, and seasonal CADs. The collections are structured into core, fashion-forward, and accent styles to cater to a wide consumer base.
