NETSUITE'S INDIA RESET

AI-led automation, local data centres and SME- focused simplification are reshaping NetSuite's strategy for one of its most complex growth markets
INDIA is moving to the centre of NetSuite's global plans as the company deepens its investment in local infrastructure, embedded intelligence and SME-led digital transformation. For Founder and EVP Evan Goldberg, the shift represents more than market expansion. It signals a new way of building ERP (enterprise resource planning), one powered by governed data, conversational intelligence and automation that acts before users even ask. Describing the company's direction, Goldberg says, “We're moving from cloud access to AI action.” For Indian businesses, this evolution comes at a moment when operational efficiency, regulatory clarity and faster decision-making are becoming essential for scale.
For years, the absence of local hosting had held back certain segments, especially mid-market and compliance-heavy businesses, reluctant to place financial data offshore. With Indian data now residing inside national borders, cloud hesitancy is rapidly falling.
Latency is another area where the shift is immediate. When transactions and daily operations depend on speed, local hosting matters. As Suxena notes, access is now significantly faster and more stable. “Earlier, this data would have been residing outside, and that stopped many customers from using cloud,” he says.
SMEs Backbone of India Reset
India's SME and mid-market sector is central to NetSuite's strategy. Millions of businesses remain early in their digital journeys, and most have struggled with the historical complexity of ERP implementations.
