“A home where stone, light, and craft come together to reimagine tradition into a lived, contemporary narrative of space and belonging.” — White Tree Architects.

A quiet tapestry of tradition, craft, and contemporary living

At Avittam, a 13,750 sq. ft. bungalow in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, Sachi Lunia Lunkad and Shreyansh Lunkad of White Tree Architects create a tranquil sanctuary rooted in tradition and shaped for contemporary living. Jaisalmer sandstone and limestone form the foundation of the home, enriched by crafted wood, cane, brass, and mother-of-pearl details. Layered textiles and an earthy palette of whites, beiges, and browns lend warmth, comfort, and understated elegance throughout.

A cut through generations, but embracing them as one

“Designing for four generations under one roof meant understanding not just spatial needs, but the emotional texture of how a family actually lives; the two-colour rule, the matte insistence, the bespoke art — were all in the service of a home that would feel like one thing, even as it held many lives.” - Gama Architects.
