September saw two of the year’s most important shows take place and, despite less-than-perfect economic backdrops and challenging weather conditions in the UK, most of the big yards reported impressive forward order books and resilient new boat sales.

CANNES YACHTING FESTIVAL
In the usual perfect Côte d’Azur conditions, this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival demonstrated yet again how creative boat builders can be. The list of world premieres was longer and more impressive than usual – we counted over 30 motor boats making their debuts this year.
