The Beethoven of the Airboat Industry - Raul Garcia

It is 1984, and Stan Floyd (President of American Airboat Corporation in Orange, Texas) is making a name in the airboat industry, when a hearing-impaired gentleman approaches him for employment.

Raul Garcia (now 76) was born deaf and does not speak. He informed Stan through interpretation he was a machinist for several years. Floyd hired Garcia and soon found he was a man of many talents.

For more than 40 years on more than 50 different engine models and for many custom-built airboats, García has fabricated the detailed parts with pride; from the aluminum engine covers down to the gas pedals and even the tools needed for specialty jobs.
