Acura ADX HIGHS: Looks nothing like its Honda relation, handsomely finished interior, well-tuned chassis. LOWS: Synthetic engine note, sluggish acceleration, uncomfortable rear seat.

At Acura, the Integra, priced from $34,195, is now joined by the ADX, a new small SUV that starts at $36,350.

Whereas the Integra evolved from the Honda Civic, the ADX is closer kin to the HR-V. It rides on the same 104.5-inch wheelbase but shares none of the Honda's body panels. A 190-hp turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder works with a CVT. Output is down 10 horses to the base Integra, but the turbo four easily shades the HR-V's 158-hp 2.0-liter.
