There's no doubt about it: New cars are expensive. With the average new-car price hovering just under $50,000, we thought now was a good time to welcome something a little more down-to-earth. So, we've added a Subaru Forester Sport to our long-term test fleet. In contrast to the caviar-budget pricing that many of our test cars carry, our Forester stickers for an easier-to-swallow $37,730.

The 2025 model year marks the start of the Forester's sixth generation. It might look a lot like the last Forester, but every bit of the exterior is new. Our test example's color combination helps it stand out, with a motif of blue paint and bronze wheels that do their best impersonation of the hallowed WRX.
