When Gambles Go Wrong

JUST WHEN YOU THINK the battle for the 2025 F1 drivers' title looks all but settled, there has been an interesting trend of twists that blow it wide open. That is exactly what happened at the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix. To kick off the chaos under the lights, wet-weather conditions graced the circuit, and with cold track temperatures, it meant a proper test of the driver's car control in these treacherous conditions. Championship leader Lando Norris (McLaren) made the best of these conditions to clinch pole position against title rival and reigning four-time world champion, Max Verstappen (Oracle Red Bull Racing). Meanwhile, another title rival, Oscar Piastri, continued his difficult run of form, qualifying in fifth position.
