Mini of Many Parts

It was during our first drive of the Mini Cooper S Convertible, first on the autobahn and then on the country roads near Munich, that it revealed its multi-faceted personality. Here is what the experience was like

RECENTLY, WE WERE INVITED TO MUNICH, Germany, for the first drive of the new Mini Cooper S Convertible.

It may be recalled that the Mini was first launched by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) way back in 1959. To start with, it was one of the many cars by the BMC brand, but it went on to become such a legend that today it has become a brand by itself. Although the Mini was made as a small city car, it was used in rallying and racing very successfully.

The car has grown substantially compared to its first avatar. Coming to 2025, the front end of the Mini Cooper Convertible shows the typical face of the brand with its iconic round headlights and the newly designed front grille. The octagonal shape both surrounds and encompasses the wide air intakes.

From the side, the clean lines of the sporty body are characterized by a striking contrast between the short overhangs and the long wheelbase. The design of the body underscores the elegance of the car's silhouette and gives the convertible Mini a generous appearance despite its small dimensions, while its large 17-inch wheels add to its impressive look.
