Toyota's GR GT signifies the next chapter in Toyota Motors' high-performance lineage

Previewed in camouflage at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the major talking point surrounding the next pinnacle model in Toyota's high-performance portfolio centred on the type of engine it would employ, with rumours suggesting it could be a turbocharged V8 incorporating electric assistance.
As the prototype was piloted up the Goodwood hillclimb course, the howl emanating from its exhaust certainly seemed to point towards such a powerplant. And with the official unveiling of the GR GT, such rumours were broadly confirmed.
