With this win, Daniel Sanders became the second-ever Australian winner of the Dakar Rally
AUSTRALIAN RIDER Daniel Sanders claimed his first-ever Dakar victory astride the KTM 450 Rally and became only the second Australian ever to win the Dakar Rally, after Toby Price (2016 and 2019). His other achievement is even more astonishing: he won the Dakar while leading the general rankings from start to finish, which had only been done once before by Marc Coma in 2009.
