Senthilkumar C of Coimbatore, the winner of both races in round one held last month, extended his domination in the Open category by claiming the pole position with a best lap- time of 1:55.616, pushing Lokesh V of Bengaluru to P2. Another Coimbatore rider, Raj Kumar C, finished third quickest in qualifying with a time of 1:57.762.

In race one, Senthilkumar C continued his winning streak in the class by claiming his third victory in succession following a close fight with Manoj Yesuadian who eventually came in second despite recording the fastest lap of the race. Another local rider, Jayanth P, finished third.
