A Step Towards Smarter Commuting

THE FZ-S FI HYBRID RETAINS THE muscular stance characteristic of the FZ series, now accentuated with sharper tank-shrouds and integrated front turn indicators within the air intake area. The bike is available in two colour options: Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey.

A noteworthy addition is the 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster that offers smartphone connectivity via Yamaha's Y-Connect X app. This feature provides turn-by-turn navigation, call and message alerts, and other ride-related information, enhancing the overall riding experience.

At the heart of the FZ-S Fi Hybrid is a 149-cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine, delivering 12.4 hp at 7,250 rpm and 13.3 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox and incorporates Yamaha's Smart Motor Generator (SMG) system. This mild-hybrid technology is claimed to provide electric assist during acceleration and features a Stop and Start System (SSS) that shuts off the engine during idling to conserve fuel, restarting it seamlessly when needed. The only advantage offered by this new smart motor generator is improved fuel efficiency, with a now claimed efficiency of 60 km/l compared to the 45 km/l claimed efficiency on the standard FZ-S Fi.
