It's not often that a brand manages to change the conversation within months of entering a market, but that's precisely what VinFast seems to be doing.

After its headline-making debut with the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs, the Vietnamese manufacturer has now turned the spotlight on an aspect that resonates deeply with Indian buyers: value.

Not the stripped-down, cost-cutting kind of value but the sort that blends design, technology and range into a package that feels genuinely aspirational.

The Indian EV landscape has so far been split between budget city runabouts and expensive luxury imports. VinFast’s arrival is forcing a rethink of where the middle ground lies. With the VF 6 starting at ₹16.49 lakh and the VF 7 at ₹20.89 lakh, the company has effectively redrawn the boundaries of what a well-equipped, long-range electric SUV can cost. For customers used to compromising either on performance or features at this price point, that’s a welcome change.
