SELF DRIVING CARS GENERATE VAST amounts of data, raising deep ethical questions around privacy and information ownership. This month, TrustUs Laboratories has been lucky enough to explore the real world impact of these issues thanks to BORIS - our Ford Mondeo based autonomous rolling test bed - embarking on what can only be described as “a coordinated extortion campaign”.

For the past few weeks, BORIS has been successfully operating as a robotaxi in Nether Kettling. Paying passengers have remarked on his punctuality, smooth driving and insistence on blasting German reggae through his speaker system. Things, broadly, have been going well.
