Practical premium compact MPV soldiers on in diesel-powered form

Here's a thing: a compact MPV powered by a diesel engine without even a whiff of electrification. Is that still legal? Apparently so, and for those prepared to stand against the turning tide, the Mercedes-Benz B200d has plenty to recommend it.
The B-Class sits on the same platform as the A-Class hatch, but unlike a marginally jacked-up compact crossover with rugged cladding, the changes here focus on practicality. More head room and extra boot space are proper MPV stuff, even if this remains firmly a compact five-seater.

Max Verstappen was the standout Formula 1 driver of 2025 for me. That's not to denigrate new world champion Lando Norris in any way. In fact, I would argue the opposite is the case.
