The Mercedes E-Class now comes with a choice of a mega six-cylinder engine. So is it worth it? We find out

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has always been the choice of the top tier of any company. The sedan, through the years, has evolved and always catered to the ever-changing demands of this very customer. Whatever was needed, Mercedes-Benz engineers have not just delivered, but delivered more than what was asked for. So when a new variant is added to the existing lineup, it is worth exploring.

The Mercedes E 450 comes with the same stately look as the new generation E-Class. However, there is a little twist in the tale as this one sports an AMG Line package. Which means that aside from the superb and sleek digital lights up front and the large grille that is a Mercedes signature there are a few extras that declare the 450s sporty intent. Look closely, though, and you will notice intricate detailing on the grille, which at closer inspection looks like the Mercedes logo. In profile too, the alloys look smarter, although the high-profile tyres clearly announce that comfort was the priority. At the back, the bumper too has gotten sleeker, and the exhaust tips look sporty as well.
