BMW's quirky little electric city commuter

Small city commuters are a rage worldwide and also have a cult following. Honda launched the tiny Honda Monkey and followed it up with the Honda Gorilla many years back. The Honda Grom even at this time rules the roost in this rather unique segment of city commuters. Now, BMW is having a go at this unique segment. But they are putting their own unique spin on it. Say hello to the BMW CE 02 or as BMW calls it, the eParkourer.

The BMW CE02 was born for urban environs. The electric bike is powered by an air-cooled motor which churns out 15bhp and 55Nm of torque. Top speed is 95kmph and the range offered is 108km. The bike can sprint to 50knph in just 3 seconds. The CE 02 comes with two ride modes, ‘Flow’ and ‘Surf’ as standard. The Highline variant gets an additional ride mode called the ‘Flash’. In our rather short ride of the bike, we felt that the Surf mode is perhaps the best suited for city conditions as it is a good mix of performance and efficiency.
