KIA EV3 has been crowned the 2025 World Car of the Year, with the Korean automaker winning the prestigious award for the second year on a trot, after bagging it for the EV9 last year. This also marks six awards for Kia in the World Car Awards' 21-year history. Commenting on EV3's win, Ho Sung Song, president and CEO, Kia said “It is an immense honour for everyone at Kia that the EV3 has been awarded the 2025 World Car of the Year title.

imageThis award highlights Kia's global leadership in providing design-led, technologically advanced, sustainable mobility solutions and how the EV3's class-leading attributes redefine the user experience for customers worldwide.” The EV3 was voted the best in the category from a list of 52 contenders. These contenders were then shortlisted into three finalists, that included the third-generation BMW X3 and the Hyundai Inster.

This marks the eighth win for Porsche in the World Performance Car category, with the brand winning nine World Car Awards during its 21 year history. “Performance has been in the DNA of the 911 since it was first introduced in 1963.
