Audi TT RS Iconic Edition
Auto Express
|June 14, 2023
FIRST DRIVE With just 11 examples being sold in the UK, is the ultimate TT worth its near-£90k price tag?
WITH the we the end of its life, Audi is hoping that a few of its most committed fans will be convinced by the ultimate expression of the coupé: the TT RS Iconic Edition. It's limited to 100 units worldwide, with 11 of those set for the UK, and has a £87,650 price tag - £25,485 more than the top-spec TT RS Audi Sport Edition.
The technical package is the same as the standard TT RS, with a 394bhp turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and Haldex-style all wheel drive system. But it does get uprated adaptive dampers and 20-inch wheels.
Audi's changes are instead more focused around the design. All Iconic Editions are painted in Nardo Grey, with black-coloured elements on the badges, bumpers and mirror caps. The front bumper has some distinctive flicks, which are meant to balance out the extra downforce provided by the new carbon-fibre rear wing that has swan-neck mounts. It definitely gives the Iconic Edition a more exotic look, especially when you see an end plate in your wing mirror.

Wreckreation
IF you love noughties classics such as Burnout, Need for Speed and Micro Machines, then Wreckreation is the game for you. We're certainly fans of good old-fashioned driving games. Too many have become realistic simulators that require expert skills, which at times foregoes the fun of gaming.

Tesla Model Y Standard
SOME people say EV pioneer Tesla is faltering. Sales figures are declining worldwide and it appears interest in the brand is waning. The reasons for this may be many, but it can’t be down to the cars themselves — especially since the Americans have proven with the Model Y facelift that they aren't resting on their laurels.
