Industrial Automation With Panasonic MINAS E7

IoT 4.0 is here with shopfloors being adapted to enhance productivity. Entering a decisive phase, with manufacturers under pressure to deliver higher productivity, TQM, and optimal asset utilisation. As Industry 4.0 adoption accelerates, automation solutions are being reimagined to serve diverse applications like in the production of semiconductors and advanced inspection systems. The MINAS E7 Servo Motor Series, claimed to be a compact, intelligent, and highly responsive system reflects both global engineering expertise and India-specific manufacturing needs.

A Smaller, Smarter Servo

Launched in July 2025 by Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND), the MINAS E7 is positioned as a next-generation servo system designed to combine speed, compactness, and user-friendliness. According to the company, the new servo is 27 per cent smaller than earlier models in the same class, particularly the 400W driver, enabling engineers to integrate it seamlessly into machines where space is a premium. “The MINAS E7 is about making automation smarter, faster, and more intuitive for Indian OEMs,” said Narayan Kumar, Divisional Director, Panasonic Industry, PLSIND. “We have built a servo system that not only improves motion accuracy but also simplifies installation and operation, aligning with India’s push for digital manufacturing transformation.”For OEMs working in dense shop floors, a reduction in footprint without compromise on performance can mean more compact equipment designs, lower installation costs, and greater flexibility in system layouts.
