ACMA Annual Session 2025

The Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA), the apex body representing the Indian auto component industry, recently convened its 65th Annual Session in New Delhi.

With the theme “Navigating Geopolitical Challenges – Creating a Resilient Automotive Supply Chain in India,” the event brought together senior policymakers, global leaders, and industry stalwarts to deliberate on strengthening India’s position in global supply chains.

In her welcome address, Shradha Suri Marwah, Past President of ACMA and CMD at Subros Limited, lauded the industry’s remarkable performance amid global turbulence. “Despite an unsettled global environment, the Indian auto component industry has demonstrated significant resilience,” she said. “In FY25, our sector expanded beyond USD 80 billion, driven by robust domestic demand, strong aftermarket growth, and rising exports. Our exports crossed USD 23 billion, underscoring India’s growing reputation as a trusted partner in global supply chains.”

Marwah noted that even in the face of increasing protectionist measures worldwide, Indian manufacturers have continued to strengthen their presence across international markets, delivering consistent value and reliability to customers.

However, she cautioned that the path forward presents formidable challenges. “We stand at a crossroads where opportunities are immense, but the hurdles are equally daunting,” she observed. Key among these, she said, are geopolitical volatility, trade wars, tariff escalations, and export restrictions, all of which are redefining the contours of global supply chains.
