Accelerating Simulation And Machine Learning At Startups

Altair India is taking its software and cloud computing prowess to startups. What better than tapping the innovation hub like the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-D)? Through the Altair Incubator Outreach Initiative, the company collaborates with startup incubators to identify, support, and mentor budding startups. With this collaboration, the company wants to leverage capabilities at IIT-D, a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to reach out to startups on fronts like simulation, optimisation, and machine learning technologies. “The startup ecosystem in India is buzzing with new ideas. Disruptive technologies like AI, machine learning, and additive manufacturing are rapidly transforming the way companies innovate,” stated Vishwanath Rao, Managing Director, Altair India and Gulf Coordination Countries (GCC).

With these technologies and tools, the startups are expected to gain access to high-fidelity, best-in-class product development tools and Altair’s industry experts for assistance and training. Additionally, Altair will engage with several pillars of India’s startup ecosystem like funding agencies, industry experts, homologation agencies, distinguished professors, and nodal government bodies like ‘Startup India’ and ‘Invest India’.“I believe these startups will not only build an intellectual property-based economy for the country but also create an ecosystem of new industries to catalyse the vision of the ‘Make in India’ and turn into a USD five trillion economy,” he mentioned.
