TWENTY-FIVE CARS WORTH WAITING FOR
Here at Car and Driver, we like to think we know what’s coming down the pike carwise (everything else is a mystery). Sometimes our intel is so unbelievable we’re certain the info passed to us was generated to flush out an industry mole. For example, a reliable and still trusted source told us Nissan had a Murano convertible in the works years before it debuted, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to print such far-fetched nonsense. We are confident that the following 25 cars will arrive in the next few years. Of course, production plans may change, but our past batting average is Hall of Fame worthy. Many of the cars on this list are electric, but not all rely on batteries. Many of the cars we deem worth waiting for still burn gasoline. So don’t fret about EVs too much yet—a mix of powertrains will continue far into the next decade.
