LIVING WITH ART, LIVING AS ART
July 2025
|Architecture + Design
Devang Patel and Pratik Siddhpura have crafted The Art House, blurring the boundaries between sculpture and structure—a home where every wall, corner, and contour narrates a story of artful living. This eclectic haven blends modern design with traditional craftsmanship, transforming everyday spaces into a living gallery that captivates and comforts in equal measure
The Art House doesn’t merely contain art; it is art. Every surface, every transition, and every functional element has been reimagined as a canvas for creative expression by founders and principal designers Devang Patel and Pratik Siddhpura. Located in Ankleshwar, Gujarat, and spread across 4,500 sq ft, the residence is conceptualised like an art gallery while simultaneously checking all the boxes of functional design. This delicate balance has been achieved through what the designers describe as “a curated interplay of statement pieces and subtle design interventions that respect the rhythms of daily life.”
At first glance, this home grabs eyeballs as naturally as it makes your jaw drop. One can feel a spectrum of emotions like ‘awe’, ‘gasp’ and it ‘stuns’ you in the best way possible, but once you ease into it, The Art House is an epitome of utilitarian design. “Dramatic features like the ‘Crimson Cascade’ light fixture and the ‘Pixel Staircase’ transform functional element—lighting and circulation—into sculptural highlights that draw the eye and define the mood of their spaces, yet they are positioned to ensure they don’t hinder movement or usability,” elaborates Pratik.

#BEATTHEFIRE - WHAT YOU SPECIFY CAN DECIDE WHO SURVIVES
In moments of fire, there is no second chance. The materials you choose today determine whether a building protects lives tomorrow - or puts them at risk. In an age where speed of construction and visual appeal often overshadow safety, one critical truth must remain nonnegotiable: fire safety begins at the specification stage.
