A delectable design that emerges from a creative powerhouse that answers a question with a question. Read on to discover the bold and captivating design of Sorbet by MuseLAB for Aquant.
-
With a portfolio that speaks to those who appreciate bold, meaningful designs, the MuseLAB duo Jasem Pirani and Huzefa Rangwala are storytellers who aren’t afraid to ask, “What’s your wildest idea?” Focused on making the journey as exciting as the destination, their projects showcase their passion, and often, clients can’t help but want to join the ride! When a client becomes a patron and is the kind who loves to collaborate with the designer, then MuseLAB is the perfect place to land. Just like the leadership team at Aquant did! The result is a design through which the entire team seems to be whispering a secret, asking, “Are you ready to embark on a thrilling adventure?”
When we stepped into the Aquant store in Mahalaxmi, it felt like stepping into a bathware fairytale. One needs to be prepared to leave the familiar behind and venture into the unknown. The most remarkable solutions emerge when we dare to challenge the norm and explore offthe-beaten paths—and the design of the Aquant store is just that. Reprising the experience of bathware discovery lounges, lovingly called Sorbet, the retail space fuses a luxe milieu with a penchant for color—no-holds-barred! Icy, invigorating, and loaded with texture, the design is a fine crossover between granular and velvet. And this, my dear, is where the MuseLAB magic plays. A legendary sorbet duo packing a punch, as one saunters through sunny lanes in faraway lands—interestingly, an equally delectable palette washes over the canvas of the space.

MUSING MUSEUMS
A few months back, when I was in Budapest, I walked into a building that left me awestruck. The inquisitive me went on to explore, and I discovered that it was a museum with pixels on the exterior and that the curved structure of the building dipped underground to form the interiors, even as the garden I was walking on was the green roof of the building that interjected at street level! Woah! I quickly took some pictures and went on to research this building, and the more I read about it, the more I fell in love with it. And then of course I had to share it with you all!
