Assemblage n.51 by the Back Studio, the central installation at the AD Design Show 2024, is an ode to the beauty of hardware—produced by Splendour Living.
There was a singular moment of quiet amidst the buzz and excitement of the opening ceremony at the AD Design Show 2024 back in September—at the dramatic unveiling of Assemblage n.51, the central installation composed of aluminium, glass and neon, designed by Eugenio Rossi and Yaazd Contractor of The Back Studio, and produced by Splendour Living. Suspended over the central lounge inside the NSCI Dome, this sculptural piece drew attention to the ever-growing construction around the city, and brought to the fore the aesthetic and utilitarian beauty of hardware. “Our goal was to draw attention to as well as give a different view of these very ubiquitous materials we see daily,” says Contractor. “It kind of also comments on the construction in our city rep
