JAIN HANDICRAFTS OPENS A STORE IN AHMEDABAD, DESIGNED BY SAMIR WADEKAR, WITH A CURATED COLLECTION DRAWN FROM THEIR SEA OF ANTIQUES.

When Jain Handicrafts, a multigenerational family business dealing in period furniture and objets d'art, showcased their collection at the annual AD Design Show last year, they were amazed by the positive response they received from visitors.

Largely in the wholesale and export business of such products, this exposure struck a chord with Akash Jain, one of the sons helming the business. He decided to create an experiential space in one of his warehouses near Ahmedabad, where those curious about or interested in artefacts could get a curated glimpse of what the brand offers. Jain tasked former AD stylist and decorator Samir Wadekar with this project, who had also created the brand's booth at the AD Design Show, featuring gems such as a Sidhpuri teak door, rare sculptures, exquisite textiles and more.
