GRACIE STANBROOK, 14, coaxed a winning performance from Patience Sweeney to head a sizeable prelim silver section.

Gracie’s mother, Natalie, said that the 14.2hh mare's “big personality” requires a tactful approach: “She wasn’t happy in the warm-up, in the rain, but she was a superstar in the arena,” said Natalie. “Gracie has a great way with her - they have a lovely relationship.”
Originally bought to event, the Jack Of Diamonds mare proved reluctant across country.
